Gauze Ghosts

Gauze Ghosts

This is a very simple Halloween craft that takes very little skill or time, but is still cute and functional.

  1. Make a small ball of gauze the size you want your ghost’s head to be.
  2. Drape a square of gauze over the ball, use small rubber band to form the “neck”.
  3. Dip into the liquid starch and shape.
  4. If desired: do steps two and three until you have the shape you want.
  5. Once dry, tie the ribbon around the “neck” like a bow tie.
  6. If desired: attach jewelry fittings by looping the jump ring through the gauze on the back of the head.
  7. If desired: paint on eyes.

The ghosts shown in the picture use one layer of gauze. The big ghost is 3 1/2 inches tall and the two small ghosts are 1 1/2 inches tall.

This is a fairly straightforward craft, but makes really cute jewelry or ghosts ready to be used in a wreath or as an accent in your Halloween village.
