This week was a busy news week with the Television Critics Winter Press Tour unloading all sorts of goodies for us to look forward to (especially Constantine!).

In television news, Season 3 of Twin Peaks has a release date after 25 years. There will be 18 episodes airing on Showtime beginning May 21 at 9 PM. According to David Lynch, companion movie, Fire Walks with Me will be very important to what’s to come. American Horror Story has been picked up for two more seasons on FX. The Lost Boys series, coming to the CW, will follow one set of vampires across several decades, the vampires not aging while the people around them do. Rob Thomas, creator of iZombie and Veronica Mars, discusses the show on SlashFilm. From the CW shows returning this month, perhaps the most anticipated character return is that of Rip Hunter on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

In movie news, George Lucas’ $1B museum is going to be in LA after all and the original animated Ghost In The Shell is being rereleased in a limited number of theaters for two days in February preceding the release of the remake.

Notable Deaths:

William Peter Blatty (89), author of the Exorcist
Tony Rosatto (62), former Saturday Night Live actor
Claire Hollingworth (105), British journalist who broke the news of WWII

This week’s thing Sarah thinks should not exist is a rumored remake of Disney classic, Dumbo with Tim Burton directing and starring Will Smith. A live-action remake of Dumbo.

Interesting Find Of the Week: Toonami has a very interesting looking miniseries coming up in March from director Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell).
