RIP: W. Morgan Sheppard – Star Trek, Doctor Who, Transformers

W. Morgan Sheppard, 86, passed away January 6, 2019. His son actor Mark Sheppard, posted to his Instagram:

Sheppard is best remembered for his roles on Star Trek: The Next Generation as Dr. Ira Graves, as the Klingon Warden of Rura Penth in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country , the older version of Canton Everett Delaware III in Doctor Who: The Impossible Astronaut, his son Mark playing the younger version of the character, Captain Archibald Witwicky in the 2007 Transformer film, and many, many more characters of film and screen through the 1980s and 2000s.

A bastion of the Sci-fi and Fantasy genres, the screen will be a little smaller without his gruff baritone growling out a warning or explanation.  He played everything from Captain Nemo to Vulcans and Klingons, Narns, Keepers, Superheroes, Villains,  Ruffians, and Priests. Always busy and always the voice of wisdom or threat, he leant his voice to video games and animated series.

Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we will miss his gruff voice.
